Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Sr. Desktop Technician is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization's PCs, laptops, Phones, handheld devices, and other network connected or related hardware. This position is also responsible for the proper execution of software
residing on the desktop systems.
Some of the duties of the PC specialist include installing, configuring and upgrading PCs, laptops and related equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting both common and unusual hardware and software problems, performing preventive maintenance on the organization's PC equipment, installing required software patches, ensuring the connectivity of PCs, laptops, handhelds and other computing devices to both the local area network (LAN), setting up and maintaining locally connected and networked printers and connecting needed peripheral equipment.
Day to day Activities:
Software installation & troubleshooting.
Migration of Desktops from Workgroup to Domain & configuring the necessary software’s under Group policy & giving necessary rights.
Managing and Monitoring Antivirus Tool in client Pc’s.
LAN ports issues & troubleshooting.
Configuring Workstation, Desktops, and laptop & troubleshooting.
For all new join’s PCs, E-Mail configuration, IP phones, Mobile phone configurations.
Projector & Video conference configuration.
Configuration of all the PCs, Laptops, Printers, Phones, Servers, Switches, Routers, and Wireless Routers.
Samsung, iPhone, Tab and iPad Configuration and troubleshooting.
Configuring Network Printer & Local printer.
Other Major and Minor troubleshooting of the PCs and Laptops.
Handling issues in absence of Team Lead
Ability to quickly analyze & diagnose technical problems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
Good knowledge of operating Systems such as Windows10 and basic Server knowledge.
Software installations and license tracking and support.
Experience in Laptop and Desktop Hardware assemble.
Experience windows patch and antivirus updates.
Proactive and clear communication skills
Assets management skill.
Domain configuration.
Remote support tools.
Network: LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP troubleshoot.
Software: Office 365, MS Project, MS Visio, Active Directory, OS imaging tool
Experience:
At least 4 + years experience required and preferred skills. Overall Experience not beyond 8 years.
Education:
BE or 2+3 Any Graduate or Diploma from government.
