Technical Skills
Expert skills with router/switch configuration and troubleshooting for Dell, Aruba or Juniper devices.
Expert level knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including load balancing, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and MPLS
Extensive ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues for servers, physical offices and end users including VPN connectivity.
Deep level knowledge of Aruba wireless such as Clearpass, Mobility Master and general wireless troubleshooting for a global Aruba wireless environment.
Strong overall network troubleshooting skills – diagnose, solve and report on these issues.
Good understanding of physical connectivity technologies such as CAT5/6, fiber
Lead major incident resolution as required in the APJ time zone across multiple technical teams, suppliers and communicate status to business.
Provide leadership and direction to 3rd party operations partner related to incidents, change and problems during business hours.
Preferred but not essential:
Experience with servers, PC connectivity and troubleshooting end user problems.
Experience with IT video solutions such as Polycom and Teams
Hands-on experience with connecting enterprise networks to cloud based infrastructure including Azure or Office365
Hands-on Experience with SD-WAN connectivity and remote site setup and troubleshooting
Knowledge of common network monitoring solutions and best practices for implementation adhering to ITIL framework
Soft Skills
Ability to leverage an IT ticketing system for ITIL processes, reporting and changes.
Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate as needed based on time zones and the nature of the work.
Strong communication skills in written and verbal mediums across time zones; ability to communicate with business users and technical users.
Extensive experience coordinating IT suppliers and procuring equipment.
Extensive experience working within a global team and enterprise; ability to span regions and time zones to address problems and projects
Exposure to Agile methodologies and supporting technology projects from development through to production.
Ability to interact with senior leadership in region as needed for incidents and project activities
Strong focus on ITIL framework and incorporating into support model(s), making recommendations to existing models and adding automation as feasible.
