Honeywell PMT Mechanical COE is seeking a FEA Engineer at Mechanical Engineer-II level to support our work on development of Automation Products. Your responsibilities are
· You will be responsible for FEA simulations, deeply involved within design team, translating the boundary conditions from real life to simulation models.
· Be willing to work on a wide variety of problems, from large sized metal equipment to miniature sized sensing devices. From Castings, Sheet Metals to plastics, elastomers, and composites. From Static simulations to transient Dynamics.
· Need to be strong at interpreting the problems, devising solution methods, make best choices to keep the simulation accurate and lean on computation time. Articulate the results to be interpreted in simple language and solid recommendations to resolve the design risks.
· Work alongside the design team and suppliers to bring out the best design.
· You will be required to have a strong structural mechanics knowledge and its implementation to the product development cycle. Perform multi-domain analysis as per the need of the problem.
· Should have willingness to explore the newer areas of physics such as ingress protection, moisture management, thermal management.
· You should be open to push the boundaries of conventional FEA techniques and ramp up on domains such as electromagnetics, Multibody motion, Creep and Fatigue analysis.
· Should be able to work closely with the cross-simulation domains such as CFD, Plastic Injection, Optimization / AI based modelling/ Generative design
· You coordinate and define the different activities within your team, according to the priorities and competences of each one in the team.
· You ensure the correct implementation and execution of the existing processes and work flows in these areas. You identify and cooperate in the elaboration of improvement opportunities of these processes.
