GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
1.Installing, configuring and
maintaining Unix/Linux systems
2.Deploy, maintain and operate a
large, mission critical Java based application running on Linux, Oracle, MQ
Websphere and Tomcat
3.Systematically troubleshoot
difficult and/or complex application, system issues as they arise
4.Act as part of a DevOps team that
maintains extensive development and test environments using Continuous Delivery
methods
5.Automation of maintenance and
operations activities through shell scripting.
6.Work closely with the other
infrastructure teams such as Network, Database and Storage teams to deliver
highly performing, scalable architectures
7.Participate in defining,
designing and implementing highly available, fault tolerant hardware and
software solutions.
8.Participate in the smooth
transition of new and modified services into production.
9.Proposes and implements system
enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance
and reliability of systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
1. Advanced understanding of
operations of Linux, Java, Apache and Tomcat
2.Experience with Tomcat, MQ
Websphere, Oracle, Jenkins and Puppet is a plus.
3.Software and System
Deployment/Operations experience
4.Rich experience in administrating
and hosting distributed computer systems
5.Knowledge of security
technologies, practices, and protocols
6.Excellent written and spoken
