Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.Provide in-depth technical
expertise for Linux kernel, device driver, and boot loaders.
2.Provide technical leadership for
the SW Engineering with a particular emphasis on architectural 3.improvements
and maintaining architectural integrity in product designs and product
security.
4.Write and review architecture /
design documentation for software enhancements.
5.Implement operating system
software, particularly kernel modules, service daemons and utilities.
Support VeriFone Petro products.
Knowledge & Experience:
1.Bachelor degree in computer
engineering
MS degree a plus. 6+ years of
experience in Linux OS software development. Strong C programming skills Strong
HW analysis skills
2..Experience with secure
bootloader and other knowledge of security (cryptography) is a plus.
3..Understand/implement OS modules
and drivers.
4.Configure and build Linux kernel.
5.Development experience with
TCP/IP and other network configuration and programming.
6.Familiar with USB protocols and
drivers, udev, etc.
7.Knowledge of Java is a plus.
